Leather Portfolio 1
These gloves are based on the original glove pattern to the left. These are hand stitched in lamb nappa.
Bespoke goat leather bag, stitched by machine.
Belts can be plain or decorated. Both of these were bespoke, reflecting the client interests.
Belts can be painted and gilded. Leather acrylics are used to create effects and unique belts.
These are moccasins for a baby. I love learning new techniques and have an interest in shoe making. Rose Choules is an excellent teacher and designer of these baby mocs that I now know how to make in Devon shearling.
Leather is great for shaping and moulding. I learnt how to mould with Katharine Pogson who is great at encouraging exploration with techniques.
These bowls are made from a russet leather which is dampened, moulded over a form and left to dry. The flesh side is then painted with leather acrylics and can also be left plain.
As you can see from the leather items in this page, leather stamps well and holds the shape of the print block, be that lettering or other shape.
